Join us in Las Vegas on January 28-30 for the Eleventh Annual Meeting
of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology
The 11th annual SPSP conference will be held January 28-30, 2010, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Riviera Hotel and Convention Center, located right on “The Strip.” This hotel has been featured in a number of films, including Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, Casino, and Ocean’s Eleven. The Riviera has recently completed a $50 million renovation project that involved upgrading rooms (including creation of more non-smoking rooms) and improving the sizeable convention space attached to the hotel.
Convention activities will begin Thursday afternoon with the Presidential Symposium, which will be followed by a welcome reception. On Friday and Saturday the program will continue with a host of symposia, poster sessions, invited addresses, publisher exhibits, and special events. The cost of lunches is included in the conference registration fee—a distinctive feature of our meeting that will allow us to take a look at the posters and then to picnic with our friends on the floor of the spacious exhibition hall. As in past years, a number of independent preconferences will be held during the day on Thursday, January 28.
No doubt you’ll find plenty to occupy your down time at the conference, including casinos, shows, and beautiful weather (expect temperatures around 60°F). We look forward to seeing you in Vegas!
The Convention Committee includes Monica Biernat (Chair), Wendi Gardner, and Toni Schmader. Serena Chen and Will Fleeson are co-chairing the Program Committee, which also includes David Amodio, Veronica Benet-Martinez, Lorne Campbell, Melissa Ferguson, Mike Furr, Kate McLean, Stacey Sinclair, Jeanne Tsai, and
Iven Van Mechelen.
